Just an experiemt to get people participating:

I'll tell you what I had for lunch today, and you tell me how I could have made it better.


Then I'll tell you what we have available for dinner, and you give suggestions to make it good.

Ready? Set? Go!


Lunch: I have leftover couscous with nuts, a 100-cal pack of Goldfish, a 90-cal pack of chocolate granola bites, and instant iced tea, mixed very dark. How could I have made that better?


Dinner: We have chicken breasts. And a bit of broccoli. Quesadilla cheese and tortillas. Pasta. Rice pilafs and more couscouses. Various spices and condiments. Suggestions?

no suggestions regarding lunch, but you're making me drool. all i've had to eat today was dried fruit x_x

i adore broccoli like there's no tomorrow. dinner looks carb-heavy, i say amp the greens and maybe nix the pasta?

Those were just possibilities for dinner - I'm thinking I might try chicken-broccoli quesadillas?

OH, i misread. i thought it was everything for dinner XDDD (i would totally eat all of that... hence my heft)

chicken-broccoli quesadilla sounds amaaaaaaaazing. and i will refrain from making the obligatory napoleon dynamite joke.

P.S. WOMAN. You need to keep more reserves around the house. You and I both know that dried fruit is no substitute for a good lunch. Besides, it'll make ya have to poop!

all i have in my apartment is dried fruit.... a canolli i can't bring myself to eat... some oatmeal... and a few cans of evaporated milk. i fail x_x
